Master Planning and Architectural Design
Architects and Developers engage Sente Corporation to improve the quality, speed and experience of their design work on complex projects. Diverse teams are assembled to rapidly take abstract concepts to preliminary designs.

2,000 Acre Master Plan

Sente Corporation facilitated a two-day session in which developers, architects, land planners, engineers, builders and representitives of both city and county government collaboratively designed a mixed-use community out of 2,000 acres of farmland. Starting from scratch, the team finished the session with at least two workable master plans, sketches of a town center, typical lots, typical streets, traffic plans, and tentative phasing plans for the construction of the development.

Exposition Park Master Plan

Sente Corporation conducted a two-day session to create a master plan for North America's largest exhibition center. The project covered nearly 200 acres and involved half-a-million square feet of retail, 6,000 hotel rooms, office space, parking garages, and an internal transportation system. Several options were developed through an iterative process involving nearly 30 constituents.

Orlando Naval Training Center Redevelopment

Sente Corporation conducted three design sessions for one of the proposing teams to assist them in preparing the RFQ and RFP. Each session assembled representatives from the various constituencies for a period of from one to three days. Up to fifty participants joined in the collaboration. We facilit a ted each session by applying an accelerated approach to planning and design and employing a special collaborative environment to achieve results in record time and above expectations. The first, daylong session resulted in a complete first draft of the RF Q. After passing the RFQ phase, we facilitated a second, two-day session to develop three options for the master plan of the community and to combine these into the final plan that would be presented as a part of the RFP.

Osceola County Convention Center Master Plan

Sente Corporation designed, facilitated, and documented a three day session to design the new Osceola County Convention Center which will be constructed on the site of the World Expo Center. Fifteen participants representing five constituencies worked in teams and as a large group to select the final siting of the building, integrate the building with an adjoining hotel, solve transportation issues, identify engineering specifications, detail finishes and fixtures. Throughout the session, one team of knowledge workers iterated the design and architecture of the building, while another kept an up-to-date estimate of the project budget.

Corporate University and Collaborative Planning Studio

Sente Corporation was contracted to design and facilitate a two-day session for a real estate finance company to develop an innovative, "break-the-mold" model for their internal university. We employed our background in educational systems design to help the company design the team and new processes that the team would employ in the university. We also facilitated the design of the physical space and finished the session having produced a schematic concept along with an operations manual describing the use of the space. Sente handled the design, layout, writing, illustration and printing of the operations manual.
